During my recent trip to Poland, for the purpose of supervising a video recording, I took with me my Unbreakable Umbrella (I always do). I flew to Warsaw through Amsterdam and then back to USA through Amsterdam. At the boarding gate in Amsterdam (after passing the security check), I noticed a poster listing objects you cannot take on the plane. In the point C of this list were named blunt instruments not allowed to pass the security check. As I stood there, I put my Unbreakable Umbrella under my arm, took a notepad and wrote down those blunt instruments.

Here they are:

C) Blunt Instruments

Baseball and softball bats
Clubs or batons--rigid or flexible, e.g., billy clubs, black jacks, nightsticks and batons
Cricket bats
Golf clubs
Hockey sticks
Lacrosse sticks
Kayak and canoe paddles
Skateboards
Billiard, snooker, and pool cues
Fishing rods
Martial arts equipment, e.g., knuckle dusters, clubs, coshes, rice flails, num chucks (sic), kubatons (sic), kubosaunts (?).

No umbrellas though. Good.

Whenever he travels he takes it with him and he has never had  anyone question him about it.
